Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu planning, and ensuring high-quality culinary creations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in food service management. Duties: - Plan and execute menus for daily meals, special events, and catering services - Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes, ensuring they are of high quality and presentation - Manage inventory control, including ordering and monitoring supplies - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen - Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed - Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes - Oversee kitchen operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control - Maintain a positive working environment and foster teamwork among kitchen staff Skills: - Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques - Knowledge of food service management principles and practices - Familiarity with restaurant management software for inventory control and menu planning - Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation - Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff, management, and customers - Flexibility to adapt to changing menus, dietary restrictions, or special requests Requirements: - Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen setting - Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred - Knowledge of banquet operations is a plus - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required We offer competitive pay based on experience.
